About the Event

Experience an extraordinary challenge on New England's most captivating terrain at the 50 Mile Circuit Race. This year, the race organizers have crafted a route that balances technical sections with scenic fire roads, ensuring runners are both tested and rewarded.
The course is meticulously designed to provide two laps for those aiming for the full distance of 50 miles, offering multiple opportunities to refuel via feed zones. These stops will be generously stocked with Skratch products and other gourmet treats, allowing you to hit them twice per lap—making fueling more convenient than ever.
For runners seeking a shorter but equally rewarding experience, there's also the option for a 25-mile loop, providing an excellent introduction or a second chance at victory. The first year this course was used garnered significant praise from participants and set new standards in local racing.
The race will see only 300 brave souls competing to win cash prizes totaling $500 across both men's and women's categories. With five deep payouts, the top finishers can expect substantial rewards: $150 for first place, $125 for second, $100 for third, $75 for fourth, and a commendable $50 for fifth.
While you're focused on your run, know that all feed zones will be well-stocked to keep you fueled. And if food is what you crave most, the organizers are exploring options like a food truck or an in-house cookout to ensure every participant's appetite is satisfied.
Participants must adhere to a strict time limit: all racers have just 7 hours from start to finish. Those who don't complete their first lap by 12:10 pm will be removed from the course and unable to begin their second, ensuring a fair competition for everyone involved.
Register early as on-site registrations are not available this year due to logistical constraints. The race promises an unforgettable experience with its challenging yet rewarding route, making it the perfect capstone event for your local marathon racing season.

Assonet is one of two villages in the town of Freetown in Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States. An original part of the town, Assonet was settled in 1659 along with the city of Fall River, then a part of Freetown. It rests on the banks of the Assonet River. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 4,084; up from 3,614 in 1990. As of the 2014 census, the village had a total estimated population of 9,093.
