Funstock to Cali Roaring Brook Rally

Join the Fahnestock Trail Fundraising Ride on July 26th, starting at 9:00 AM. This charity ride aims to support the development of beginner-friendly mountain bike trails at Canopus Lake within Fahnestock State Park. The route offers a mix of singletrack and XC ski trail integration, making it accessible for both experienced cyclists and newcomers.
The ride will begin in Putnam Valley, NY, just off the Taconic State Parkway, with parking available at 64 Pudding Street. Additional parking can be found along Brookside Road if needed. A non-refundable donation of $20 is required to cover expenses and support trail development. Participants must also sign a waiver upon arrival.
The journey will start smoothly as you navigate the East Fahnestock singletrack before crossing over the parkway at Mile 4 to explore the Canopus Lake Trails Project. Continue through the campground and XC ski trails, eventually reaching the Roaring Brook Trail down to Wiccopee Road. The ride concludes with a return via the parkway's overpass back to your starting point.
For those looking for an extended adventure, there will be water stations at Pudding St. and California Hill (Waywayanda Ct.). Two-vehicle shuttling options are available if you wish to extend your experience or prefer not to ride the full distance.
This event is open to all cyclists, including Class 1 eBikes. Ride staff experienced with the area can assist along the way, making it easier for everyone to enjoy this scenic route.
