About the Event

Get ready for the ninth edition of Gaasterland Trail, set to take place on October 24, 2026. This exciting race offers runners multiple distance options and challenging terrain through the scenic landscapes of Friesland.
The main events include the Bonifatius (10 kilometers), starting at 11:30 AM; Redbad (24 kilometers), with a start time of 10:30 AM; and the Grutte Pier Ultra (50 kilometers) beginning early in the morning at 8:00 AM. The ultra distance is only available via GPS tracking, providing an adventurous route for seasoned trail runners.
For younger participants, there's also a KidsTrail event with two distances: 900 meters and 1850 meters, both starting at 9:30 AM. This family-friendly race allows children to experience the thrill of running in a beautiful setting without cost.
Registration is open until October 21, 2026, or until all spots are filled. Participants can pay through iDEAL for secure and convenient transactions online. It's important to note that there will be no on-site registration this year, so make sure you sign up early to reserve your spot in the race.
