Galway Women's Mini Marathon 2027

On February 1, 2027, runners gather for a unique mini-marathon just outside Galway City, celebrating St-Brigid's Bank Holiday. This women-only race offers participants the chance to run or walk along scenic routes past Europe’s largest Turlough, an extraordinary landscape feature that transforms from lush meadow to serene lake with seasonal changes. The event is not only a celebration of female camaraderie but also an opportunity for community fundraising through optional donations during registration. Participants can expect a blend of natural beauty and spirited atmosphere as they traverse the picturesque terrain, making it a memorable day out for all involved.
The race route winds past stunning landscapes, offering runners breathtaking views that highlight both the vibrant greenery typical of Irish countryside in early spring and the unique ecological features of the Turlough. Whether you’re an avid runner or just looking to enjoy the outdoors with friends, this mini-marathon promises a day filled with joy and appreciation for nature’s beauty.
