Kirrie 10K: Gateway to the Glens
Join us on Sunday, September 6th, 2026, for the Kirrie 10K race starting at 11:00am. Nestled within the heart of Angus, this event welcomes runners from all corners with a warm embrace in historic Kirriemuir and its picturesque countryside.
The race begins and concludes at the Peter Pan playpark in Kirriemuir, offering participants an invigorating loop through quiet rural roads that wind past rolling hills and expansive farmland. This undulating course presents a mix of gradual climbs and swift descents, providing both challenge and enjoyment for runners while allowing them to take in breathtaking views towards the Angus Glens.
With its strong community support and relaxed atmosphere, the Kirrie 10K caters to various runner types: competitive club members seeking an engaging race day experience; newcomers looking to tackle a slightly more challenging distance; and anyone who appreciates scenic routes supported by locals. The event is designed for those aged 17 or older.

The Kirrie 10K serves as an excellent stepping stone race or late-season target due to its balanced challenge and scenic beauty. All finishers will receive a medal for their efforts.
PB Timings will provide chip timing services once again this year. Entries close on August 31st, 2026, with no entries accepted on the day of the event. Participants must collect race numbers from registration at Kirriemuir Hill Pavilion (Camera Obscura).
Prizes are awarded to:
- The top three overall male and female finishers
- First place in various age group categories
In line with our commitment to environmental responsibility, we have replaced single-use plastic bottles with paper cups for water stations along the course and at the finish line.
