Nestled in the heart of Vendée, near the commune of Les Herbiers and close to Montagne-sur-Sèvre, La Gaubre’Trail offers runners an immersive journey through diverse landscapes. The race is organized by the dedicated team at La Gaubre’Trail association, featuring four distinct distances: 8 km, 17 km, 26 km, and a full marathon of 42 km. Each route weaves through fields, forests, and charming villages, providing an engaging mix of terrain that caters to all levels of runners. The event kicks off at the picturesque Landebaudière Park with staggered starts beginning at 8 am for each distance category. Participants can expect a challenging course filled with technical sections, steep climbs, and varied surfaces including trails, grassy paths, and stretches along village roads. The race organizers have put together an exceptional support network of over 150 volunteers who ensure the safety and smooth operation of the event. In collaboration with the Vendée Athletics Committee and supported by the Sèvre Entente athletics club based in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre, La Gaubre’Trail promises a well-organized experience.
