After 7 years of hard work and planning, Geelong will now enter the world stage of mass participation events on Sunday, September 20th, 2026, with it's first ever marathon, complimented by a half marathon and community 8km event. Run or walk around the streets of Geelong traffic free, pass through iconic Kardinia Park, and enjoy picturesque views of Corio Bay and the Eastern Beach foreshore.
The Geelong Running Festival is a promotion of health, fitness, and participation, while celebrating Geelong’s rich history and iconic landmarks. Geelong people are proud and passionate about their beautiful city, and with the incredible support from the City of Greater Geelong, we cannot wait to welcome local, national, and international runners to not only run in Geelong, but to explore our beautiful region in 2026!
