GENTLEMEN ALAIN NOGUES-PAYS DE DINAN

On Saturday, October 24th, the second edition of the "GENTLEMEN ALAIN NOGUES-PAYS DE DINAN" race will take place once again in Brusvily. This unique cycling and running event features a time trial format where participants can choose between two categories: duo or quatuor.
In the duo category, teams consist of one "gentleman," typically an older participant, paired with a relay runner covering 20 kilometers together. The quatuor option extends to 30 kilometers for four-person teams, which can be all male, all female, or mixed groups. Departures are staggered from noon until 5 PM in two-minute intervals.
The event welcomes both licensed and non-licensed athletes aged 12 years and older. Non-licensed participants must provide a medical certificate confirming their fitness to compete. For the duo category, there is an official ranking by gender (men's, women's, or mixed) based on time performance, as well as an age-adjusted classification for the "gentleman" member. Quatuor teams are ranked both in real-time and adjusted according to a points system reflecting the sum of their members' ages.
While competition is central to this event, fostering camaraderie among participants remains equally important. Riders can enjoy running alongside family or friends at their own pace, making it an inclusive experience for all. In addition to the main race, organizers are hosting a 75-kilometer cycling tour in the morning titled "Randonnée des Gentlemen, entre Terre et Mer," starting at 9 AM.
This event promises not only thrilling competition but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere that celebrates teamwork and personal achievement alike.
