Georgia Sky to Summit

The Georgia Sky to Summit takes place on October 24–25, 2026, starting at 7:00 AM on Saturday for the 50K and 9:00 AM on Sunday for the 25K at Sky Valley Resort in Sky Valley, GA. The 50K features 7,500 feet of gain with an 11-hour cutoff; the 25K features 3,500 feet of gain with a 5.5-hour cutoff (not hiker-friendly — you will need to run downhill at minimum). Both races explore the scenic mountains of Sky Valley, taking runners alongside massive waterfalls, up to Rabun Bald (the 2nd highest point in Georgia), and through miles of serene trails with peak Fall colors and nonstop wide-open views of three states.

Swag (Guaranteed if registered by September 1):

• 50K finishers: medal + pint glass + free photos
• 25K finishers: pint glass + medal

Early Bird Pricing:

• 50K: $125 until February 13, then $135
• 25K: $105 until February 13, then $115

Refund Policy:

• Within 90 days of event: no refunds, transfers, or deferments.
• 6 months to 90 days before event: half credit toward another Run Bum Race (equal or lesser value).
• Outside of 6 months: full credit toward another Run Bum Race (equal or lesser value).
• Full credit for pregnancy & military order deferral — good for 2 years from event date.

Giving Back — Trail Maintenance:

• Race director and volunteers have put in over 3,500 hours of trail work on this course (chainsawing blowdowns, clearing overgrown trails, digging to widen trails, building steps).
• Run Bum Races donates money directly to the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy.

Dedication — Victor Mariano (Forever):

• This race is forever dedicated to Victor Mariano — a best friend, husband, father, volunteer, trail maintainer, race timer, and an incredible person.
• He ran or volunteered for every edition of the race except the Covid year until his untimely passing in August 2025.
• He worked on the trail: clearing trees, building water diversions, building steps, and clearing overlooks.
• He asked to dedicate the race to him. This was his first ever trail race.
• "Legends live forever. We love you now and always."
