Gianna's Cheers for Hope - 5K Fun Run/Walk

Gianna's Cheers for Hope presents its third annual 5K Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at DeMuro Park along Margaret Avenue in Nutley, NJ. This family-friendly event aims to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research, educational scholarships for NHS students, and support families battling the disease.
Registration opens with early bird pricing of $35 for adults (ages 12+) and children aged 6-11 at just $10; kids under five enter free. Participants who register ahead will receive a commemorative t-shirt and water bottle upon arrival. Late registrants can still join, but there's no guarantee they'll get the swag.
The day kicks off with a festive atmosphere as runners gather for a 3-mile run/walk or a fun one-mile race designed specifically for young children. The event welcomes all ages, from little ones in strollers to seasoned joggers, and encourages participants to wear their favorite costumes—Gianna loved Halloween!
Light refreshments will be available at the finish line including hot chocolate, coffee, bagels, cookies, and apple cider donuts. Families can also enjoy a range of activities like rock painting or cornhole games while kids play on the park's playground.
