The evening starts with a magical atmosphere as participants gather under the setting sun. The 5km race begins promptly at 7:15 PM, followed by the 10km event starting just five minutes earlier at 7:10 PM. As you navigate through the trails, keep an eye out for native wildlife and historic landmarks such as the Neo-classical Chapel, the restored stable block, and the grand ruin.
Gibside's Canicross-friendly environment welcomes runners with one controlled dog per participant, adding a unique twist to your evening adventure. The event is meticulously timed by Timing Up North using live chip-timing technology, ensuring accurate results throughout the race day.
