GIBSIDE WILD NEW YEAR TRAIL RUNS 

Embark on an exhilarating journey through history and nature at Gibside, kicking off your year with the inaugural GIBSIDE WILD NEW YEAR TRAIL RUNS. This scenic race offers two trail options: a 5-mile run for runners aged 15 and above, and a more challenging 10-mile route designed for those 17 years or older.
Nestled in Rowlands Gill, Gibside is an expansive estate covering over 600 acres of meticulously preserved gardens, woodlands, and countryside. The landscape is dotted with historic architecture like the Neo-classical Chapel and restored stable block, alongside the majestic ruins that stand as a testament to past grandeur. Wildlife enthusiasts will delight in spotting deer roaming freely throughout the grounds.
The event promises breathtaking views at every turn, from winding trails through dense woodland to open vistas over rolling hills. Participants can expect an immersive experience where each step brings new discoveries and awe-inspiring moments.
Canicross runners are welcome too, with one controlled dog permitted per runner for added companionship on this scenic adventure.
