Gilbert Fit & Fun Run

Join the community at Freestone Park for an inspiring and inclusive run or walk on Sunday, October 11, 2026. This family-friendly event welcomes runners of all ages and fitness levels to come together with friends, families, and neighbors to support a healthier future.
Proceeds from this event benefit Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center locations in Arizona, making every step count towards hope and healing for those affected by cancer. Participants will enjoy the scenic trails at Freestone Park while supporting an important cause.
The race features a 5K route that winds through dedicated running paths within the park. While cyclists, other runners, and possibly horses may share these open trails during the event, all participants are encouraged to be courteous stewards of the course by sharing space safely with others.
All finishers will receive a custom event medal as well as a dri-fit tech t-shirt (sizes not guaranteed on race day). Pre- and post-race refreshments including granola bars, fruit, water, and more will be available at the "Athlete's Brunch." The course is chip-timed by StartLine Racing, who also provide real-time results and photos online.
Race-day registration opens at 6:00 am with check-in continuing until 6:55 am. Race day entry costs $50 for the 5K event (online registration before race day recommended to secure your preferred shirt size). The event is wheelchair, stroller, and leashed pet friendly.
On Saturday, October 10th from 2-5 pm, participants can pick up their packets at Sole Sports in Gilbert. Race day itself kicks off with the start of the run/walk at 7:00 am sharp followed by an awards ceremony beginning around 7:45 am for top finishers.
