About the Event
The Grace Cancer Run is a global initiative spearheaded by The Grace Cancer Foundation, aiming to save at least 30,000 lives from cancer through awareness and free screening for the underprivileged. This annual run not only raises funds but also promotes physical activity as an essential tool in preventing and combating cancer. Set against the backdrop of Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Stadium on October 11, 2026, participants can choose between a 2K, 5K, or 10K distance to suit their fitness level. The event offers both in-person participation at select locations across India and a virtual format for runners worldwide. For those participating virtually from anywhere around the globe, registration opens up opportunities to contribute regardless of geographical constraints. Participants will receive an e-bib via email which is encouraged to be printed and worn during the run to enhance the sense of community and shared purpose. The event day offers flexibility with start times ranging between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM in each participant’s local time zone, ensuring that runners can complete their chosen distance before noon. Those facing unforeseen circumstances may extend their completion deadline until October 16, 2026, provided details are submitted by the end of day IST on October 16. Participants using Strava or other tracking apps like Runkeeper and MapMyRun to record their runs can share results publicly through these platforms. The foundation encourages runners to document their journey with pre-, during-, and post-run photos shared on social media, tagging @gracecancerfoundation (Facebook) and @gracecancerfoundation (Instagram). Lucky participants will be selected for special rewards based on the creativity and engagement of their posts. Hyderabad is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Telangana.
