Participants will find themselves navigating firm yet slightly soft terrain as they run along Osaugie Trail.
This year marks its fourth edition for Glow by the Bay 5K, which has grown from a small community event to one that attracts over two hundred participants annually. The race supports various charitable organizations in the Twin Ports area and is organized by Tortoise & Hare Race Management who ensure smooth operations with their expertise in finish line chip timing, immediate results, and more.
The course venue offers a unique experience as runners traverse Osaugie Trail, which winds through the heart of Superior. The route features notable landmarks including picturesque views of Lake Superior, creating an atmosphere that is both peaceful and invigorating for participants. At the end of the race, participants can enjoy post-race festivities on Barker’s Island at the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival.
The Glow by the Bay 5K offers two options: a 5k (No T-Shirt) or a 5k (with T-Shirt). The 5k distances are offered for both adults and children. Registration is open through Raceroster.com, with fees of $36.35 for the 5k without a shirt and $44.94 including a complimentary race t-shirt.
Participants should pick up their bibs at the Superior Police Department on August 20th from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM or on race day starting at 6 P.M., bringing identification for age verification if required.
