About the Event

Prepare yourself for an unforgettable blend of fitness, fun, and fright at the 12th Annual Pebble Beach Zombie Race! Scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, this thrilling event promises to deliver a unique experience that combines challenging runs with heart-pounding scares. Set against the backdrop of breathtaking coastal scenery along Fire Defense Roads in Pebble Beach, California, participants will navigate through unpredictable terrains while evading lurking zombies.
This year's lineup features three distinct challenges designed for all levels:
- The Extreme 10K Zombie Run: A grueling 6.2-mile course that winds through steep hills and twisting paths, testing both your endurance and courage.

- The Classic 5K Zombie Crawl: Offering a more traditional scare with its 3.1 miles of rugged terrain filled with unexpected obstacles.
- The Family-Friendly 2K Survivor Stroll: A gentle mile-long walk for all ages, perfect for introducing kids to the excitement without the intense physical demands.
Upon completing your run or stroll, celebrate your victory at our post-race party featuring delicious tacos and lively entertainment. Engage with Zombie Firefighters who will share valuable safety tips that could be crucial in real-life emergencies as well as during a zombie apocalypse.
Registration is capped at 500 participants to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience. Fees are $28.74 for adults, while children can join free of charge but must be accompanied by a registered adult runner. The event kicks off with registration starting at 8:00 am and waves beginning from 9:00 am onwards.
Participants will start and finish the race at the Pebble Beach Corporation Yard (4005 Sunridge Road, Pebble Beach). Course markers and volunteers along the way will guide you through your adventure. Remember to dress up as a zombie—everyone is encouraged but must adhere to guidelines for family-friendly attire without excessive gore or violent displays.
Beyond the run itself, there's an Emergency Preparedness Fair where public safety teams offer interactive demonstrations and activities aimed at educating families about disaster preparedness in engaging ways that stick with you long after the event. This includes building emergency kits and planning escape routes—skills that could be lifesaving during real emergencies.
