THIS IS THE 40th ANNIVERSARY OF THIS RACE! Start Time: 9:00 a.m. Location: Start at the Mt. Roberts Tramway parking lot Distance: ~ 3.5 milesRegistration Fee: Adults $15, Youth 18 and under $5 (JTRR members in good standing receive $5 off). Roberts Tramway parking lot, run up South Franklin and continue up North Franklin, turn right on 6th St, then left on Gold, run to the top of Gold and continue on Basin Road to the Mt. Roberts Trailhead and parking area on the right. Follow the trail and go past Mountain House and the Nature Center at the top of the Tram and continue up to the cross. Touch the cross! 1800-foot climb, approximately 3.5 miles. Be SAFE! IF THE TRAM IS RUNNING: Race participants receive a tram ride down after the finish at the Cross. Water and snacks are provided at the Mountain House Theatre. IF THE TRAM IS NOT RUNNING: Participants will need to bring their own nourishment, including water. Participants will also need to make their way back down the mountain to vehicle. Race day registration is available beginning at 8:15 a.m. Official timers will be waiting for you at the cross with or without the tram being operational. Prizes are awarded to the first finisher and for one or more random drawings. All participants will receive a tram pass for later use.
