About the Event

Starting and finishing at the Music Festival Plaza in the Zhongwei Desert & Yellow River outdoor sports destination, Tengger Desert, Zhongwei, Ningxia, this race runs September 25-26 with a 2,500-runner cap across "Golden Armor" 50K, "Breaking Loulan" 30K, and "Return from the Sands" 10K. Registration is first-come, first-served, with early-bird pricing through July 31.
The 50K (300 runners, 51.7km, 1,710m gain/loss, ITRA 2 points) starts Sept 26 7:00 with a 12-hour cutoff; the 30K (700 runners, 28.5km, 812m gain/loss, ITRA 1 point) starts 7:00 with a 7.5-hour cutoff; the 10K (1,500 runners, 11.1km, 390m gain/loss) starts 7:00 with a 3.5-hour cutoff.
Not sand flats but a true sand sea, rolling and endless -- sand in the air, sun and wind head-on, an expedition rather than a sightseeing run across the Tengger Desert.
Race packs include technical shirts, packs, and gear from a lineup of outdoor sponsors, with additional finisher gifts for the 50K and 30K categories.
