Goodview Gallop 2026

Join us on August 22, 2026, for the Goodview Gallop, celebrating its 46th edition. This year's race is themed "Take A Stand Against Domestic Violence," inviting participants to walk or run a 5K or 1K in support of health and community engagement.
Race registration ends on August 7, 2026, at 9:00 AM for the 5K event. However, no same-day registrations will be accepted for this distance. For those joining later, individual 5K registrants can sign up until August 20th by 6:00 PM. Group discounts are available; register five or more individuals together and save $6 per person.
The race kicks off at 8:15 AM with the 5K event, followed by the 1K run starting at 8:00 AM. Individual registration fees for the 5K cost $28.74, while groups of five or more can register at a reduced rate of $22 per person. The 1K race is priced at just $12.69 with an option to skip the t-shirt if desired.
All participants must adhere to strict guidelines: only service animals are permitted in the race area. Race results will be managed by MTEC Results/Championships, and chip timing ensures accurate scoring for both distances. Post-race results can be found on their official website.
Proceeds from this event benefit The Madeline Kingsbury Foundation for Domestic Abuse, supporting vital community initiatives. Packet pick-up is available at Dale Evans Pavilion, located at 4135 W. 5th Street in Goodview, Michigan, between August 20 and 26 during the specified hours. Race day packet collection will be held tentatively from 7:00 to 7:45 AM.
Historically, Mike Walentiny clocked a winning time of 16 minutes and 22 seconds in the 5K race back in 2023, while Sonja Semling secured second place with an impressive 18 minutes and 52 seconds. This year's event promises to be another memorable milestone for runners and supporters alike.
