Gourdatrail

The Saint-Maurice-de-Gourdans Kayak Club hosts an exhilarating trail race that winds through scenic agricultural paths and quiet country lanes. Spanning 19 kilometers, the course offers runners a unique blend of flat terrain with minimal elevation gain totaling just over 50 meters. The lowest point on the route is at 190 meters above sea level, while the highest reaches 207 meters.
The race begins at Stade Régis Perrin and heads towards Port Galland in Saint-Maurice-de-Gourdans. Runners will cross a picturesque bridge over the river before embarking on a loop around the Riveraine’s tranquil ponds. The highlight of this section is the confluence where the Ain meets the Rhône, an area designated as part of Natura 2000 for its ecological importance.
