Nestled along northeastern New Brunswick, the picturesque islands of Lamèque and Miscou offer a breathtaking backdrop for cyclists. The Gran Fondo des Îles Lamèque et Miscou is set to take place from July 4th to 5th, 2026, with limited spots available.
On Saturday, July 4th, early morning starts await riders of all levels:
- Gran Fondo - Embark on a 125 km adventure at 7:30 AM.
- Médio Route - Cover 75 km from 9:00 AM onwards for those seeking a bit less distance but no less challenge.
- VéloTour - Test your endurance with the 55 km route, starting at 9:30 AM.
- Piccolo Ride - Perfect for beginners or families, this 35 km route kicks off at 10:00 AM.
All participants will enjoy a hearty spaghetti lunch and a sumptuous lobster dinner (alternative choice available if needed). The day concludes with live musical entertainment featuring local singer-songwriters. Don't miss the chance to win prizes, including an impressive bike as the grand prize!
On Sunday, July 5th, families are welcome to join in for a fun-filled family ride:
- Adapted Routes - Choose from routes ranging between 25 km and just 1.5 km, with multiple starting points ensuring everyone can participate.
- Final Destination - Conclude your journey at L’Eau Container, a cyclist-friendly canteen designed to cater specifically to the needs of riders.
