The route starts from Suffolk Running Centre on Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, and takes runners out onto quiet lanes before a turnaround point at approximately 5.2 kilometers.
Those competing in longer distances will have multiple loops to complete:
- A half marathon involves two full routes.
- Full marathon participants cover four circuits of the Denham Flats course.
- Ultra-runners can opt for either four loops plus an additional 5-kilometer segment or five complete laps, providing flexibility and variety.
The route's gentle incline is barely noticeable, making it a comfortable run both ways. With no significant elevation changes, runners will enjoy smooth pacing throughout their chosen distance.
