About the Event
The fifth annual Great Harbors 5kish and 2.5kish fun run invites residents of Great Harbor, along with their guests, to participate in this community-driven race that celebrates fitness and camaraderie. The races will take place rain or shine, ensuring that the event is not hindered by weather conditions. Participants can register for $23 per adult and $14 for children aged 14 and under until July 28th when prices increase to $30 for adults ($20 for those 14 years old and younger). Online registration remains open up until midnight on August 1st, providing ample time for runners of all ages to sign up. The 5kish fun run/walk offers participants a scenic two-lap journey around the perimeter of Great Harbor. Starting and ending at the neighborhood ball field, this event welcomes both runners and walkers who will enjoy the picturesque views and friendly atmosphere along the route. Similarly, the shorter yet equally enjoyable 2.5kish option provides one lap around the same path, catering to those looking for a more relaxed pace or distance. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in each race category, adding an element of competition while still maintaining the event's spirit of fun and inclusivity. For young participants aged 14 and under, there is a special discounted entry fee of $14, automatically applied at checkout when registering online.
