Starting 8:00 AM on Sunday, November 1 at the Guanghan Convention Center and finishing near Jinyan Wetland Park on Yanjiang North Road, Guanghan, Deyang, Sichuan, this half marathon caps at 10,000 runners for its single 21.0975km distance. Pre-registration and payment run July 22 10:00 through August 21 24:00, with lottery results announced late September and full refunds for unsuccessful entrants. Home to the thousands-of-years-old Ancient Shu civilization, Guanghan pairs an unhurried, food-loving Sichuan street-life atmosphere with a run built directly around the Sanxingdui Museum. The course starts at the Guanghan Convention Center, follows Zhongshan Avenue and Sanxingdui Avenue directly into the Sanxingdui Museum grounds -- putting runners face-to-face with the site's famed bronze standing figure and gold mask replicas -- before finishing along Yanjiang South Road and the Hangtian Bridge to Yanjiang North Road.
