The Greater Beverly YMCA Reindeer Run 5K Road Race returns to the historic streets of Beverly, Massachusetts on December 5th, 2026. This beloved holiday tradition offers runners an opportunity to enjoy picturesque coastal roads and festive downtown ambiance. Participants will gather in the heart of Beverly’s historic district early in the morning for this race. The course weaves through charming residential streets and park paths, providing a scenic route that is both dog and stroller friendly. As you start your journey at the First Baptist Church on Hale Street, prepare to navigate familiar landmarks such as the Sterling Center YMCA and local shops. This 10th anniversary event has grown from humble beginnings into one of Beverly’s most anticipated races. Over 800 participants have joined in previous years, contributing significantly to financial assistance and scholarship programs through the YMCA. Each registration fee supports this vital mission, ensuring that local families can access essential community resources. The race course offers a mix of gentle elevation changes as you run through historic downtown Beverly before returning to your starting point. On race day, expect brisk conditions with an average temperature around 0°C (32°F), and prepare for gusty winds at up to 12.5 km/h. Despite the cool weather, the festive spirit will keep spirits high. The Greater Beverly YMCA Reindeer Run provides two distance options: a 5K adult race starting at $44.79 per participant, and a 5K child option for younger runners, priced at just $18.04. Registration is available online through Raceroster.com or in person on December 4th from the First Baptist Church. Race day pick-up of bibs begins early on December 4th between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM, with shuttle services offered by Sterling Center YMCA for those without transportation. Participants must be at least 13 years old to run in the adult race; younger runners can participate in the Kids K. Join us this holiday season as we celebrate community spirit through sport. Your participation will help ensure that vital Y programs continue to thrive, supporting local families and fostering a sense of belonging throughout Beverly.
