About the Event

Experience the raw beauty of nature during the 33rd annual Haliburton Forest Trail Race set for September 12-13, 2026. Spanning distances from a thrilling 12K to the grueling 50 mile and the iconic 100 miler, this race offers something for every endurance runner.
The trail winds through the privately owned Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve Ltd., where you'll encounter heavily forested landscapes, rolling hills, tranquil lakes, and babbling streams. The rugged terrain challenges both novice and seasoned runners alike, providing an authentic outdoor experience that connects participants with nature in its purest form.
Race organizers recommend registration by July 20, 2026, to ensure receipt of race swag—t-shirts for shorter distances or 100 miler hoodies. For those unable to participate due to unforeseen circumstances, the policy allows transfers through Race Roster up until event day. In extenuating situations, contact with administration may result in exceptions.
