Race morning finds participants gathering at Crossroads Village where the air is crisp with an average temperature of 12.6°C. The day promises to be comfortable, but with humidity levels at 71.6%, it might feel slightly damp and cool. A light breeze of around 12.4 km/h can be expected throughout the race.
The Halloween Hustle has a rich tradition in Flint, celebrating its third edition this year. Known for supporting Crossroads Village’s 50th anniversary, the event includes both competitive runs and walks as well as a special Kids' Trick-or-Trot segment. Participants will run through decorated streets and along scenic paths that offer views of Mott Lake, Stepping Stone Falls, and Bluebell Beach.
The race offers a variety of distances: a half marathon covering 21km on the Flint River/Iron Belle Trail; two 5K options including a competitive walk and non-competitive run; as well as shorter races for kids—both a quarter-mile and a half-mile trick-or-trot. All participants will receive a Crossroads-inspired finisher’s medal, tech shirt (optional purchase), and themed refreshments at the post-race beverage tent.
To register, visit https://raceroster.com/events/2026/112283/halloween-hustle. Early registration fees are $75 for half marathon training or run/walk, while 5K options cost $35. Late registrations start at $55 and $65 respectively. Kids' trick-or-trot costs just $15 per child.
Packet pick-up is available on October 23rd from 12:00-6:00pm at the Crim Office, or day of races from 5:30am to 15 minutes before start time at Crossroads Village. For first-timers, remember to bring your own race number and timing chip if needed.
This event is a celebration of community spirit in Flint during autumn’s vibrant season. With its diverse distances suitable for all ages and abilities, the Halloween Hustle promises an enjoyable experience for both runners and spectators alike.
