Welcome to the Halmstad Swimrun Sött & Salt, an exhilarating blend of land and sea that promises a unique sensory experience through one of Sweden's most picturesque coastal cities. This 2026 edition invites participants to explore the diverse landscapes surrounding Halmstad, from serene beaches to lush forests and historic urban sites. The event spans 17 kilometers in total, with runners completing 14 kilometers on foot and 3 kilometers in water. The run course is varied, featuring a mix of sand, asphalt, gravel paths, and wooden bridges that wind through Aleskogen Nature Reserve, Västra Strand Beach, Söderkaj Harbor, Halmstad Castle, Picassoparken Park, Norre Katts Park, Örjansvall, Nissastrand, Laxön Island, and Slottsmöllan. Each leg of the run showcases different aspects of nature and urban life in Halmstad. The swimming portion takes place partly along the coastline and within Nissan Bay, offering both calm waters for a serene swim and sections against the current to challenge even experienced swimmers. The course is designed to accommodate all skill levels, from seasoned athletes looking to push their limits to newcomers eager to try out this exhilarating sport. Participants will receive finisher gifts upon completion of the race, while additional prizes are awarded through random drawings among those who cross the line. Trophies are presented to the first-place teams and solo competitors in each category. Registration fees vary depending on when you sign up: - Early bird rates (through May 31, 2026): SEK 1250 for a team or SEK 750 for individuals. - Regular race entry fee (June 1 to August 30, 2026): SEK 1550 for teams and SEK 905 for solo runners.
