Experience the thrilling Harbison MTB Challenge on October 10, 2026. This race is part of the Pisgah Triple Crown series, offering both short and long courses that cater to diverse skill levels. Navigate through well-marked trails designed for mountain biking enthusiasts. The Long Course stretches across challenging terrain with its 45-kilometer route, while the Short Course covers a more accessible yet still exciting 20 kilometers. Both routes are best experienced using OSM Cycle map software; zoom in closely to appreciate the intricate trail details. The race kicks off at 9:00 AM sharp on Sunday, October 10th, with registration opening early at 7:30 AM and closing by 8:30 AM. A pre-race meeting will be held promptly at 8:45 AM to ensure all participants are prepared for the event. After crossing the finish line, enjoy a fully stocked post-race meal that begins at noon. Awards ceremonies follow shortly after, with top three winners in each category being recognized on both courses. Specific times may vary; however, if necessary, additional awards will be held promptly by 1:00 PM to ensure all categories are honored. This event is part of the Pisgah Triple Crown Hard Core Series for Long Course participants and Casual Racer Series for Short Course enthusiasts. Race organizers have thoughtfully integrated Harbison into their series structure, allowing racers to compete in up to five events with the option to drop two lowest scores from those results. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity! Register by September 27th for an event shirt and fully stocked aid stations along your route. For serious competitors aiming at the Pisgah Triple Crown title, participating here is a crucial step towards achieving that goal. Please note: No transfers or deferrals are allowed under any circumstances. However, if you cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances after race sell-out, consider waiting for an open spot on our waitlist. Refunds will be available until June 30th at 75% of the entry fee and August 31st at 50%. No refunds are granted thereafter. Lastly, we strongly advise purchasing race insurance from the registration site to cover any unforeseen events that might disrupt your participation or result in injury.
