This year’s route promises stunning views as it weaves its way through rolling hills, offering cyclists a mix of challenging climbs and serene descents. The journey begins in the charming town of Wauconda, IL, setting the stage for what is sure to be an epic day on two wheels.
The event caters to both seasoned riders and newcomers alike with four distinct distances: 25 miles, 50 miles, 75 miles, and a full century. Clearly marked paths ensure smooth navigation through every mile, while GPS downloads and cue sheets provide additional guidance for those who prefer technology-assisted directions.
Voice navigation is also available to participants using the Ride with GPS account, making it easier than ever to stay on track without missing out on any of the breathtaking scenery. At key points along your route, bike shop support ensures that you’re equipped for every challenge ahead.
Rest stops are plentiful and well-stocked until 3:00 PM, offering a variety of food and drink options to keep you fueled throughout the day. Indoor restrooms at both rest stops and strategic locations provide added convenience as you take on this memorable ride.
E-bikes with classes 1 and 3 are welcome, making it accessible for all types of cyclists. The route includes scenic hills that will test your endurance while rewarding you with breathtaking views of the countryside.
