About the Event

Come join us for the Haunted Halloween Hustle! We have a distance for everyone!

Monster Mile
Frightening 5K (run or walk)
Terrible 10K run
Haunted Half Marathon.

The race is based out of the lovely Abshire Park in Goshen, Indiana. The courses are all on the fantastic, scenic Pumpkinvine trail which is largely ensconced by old trees. All distances are out and back so there is absolutely NO WAY to miss a turn, get lost or lose your mates! Just get into your zone, forget about your cares and count down the miles!

You will always have people around you to encourage you and get you to the finish line! The path is completely protected from traffic, except at a few cross roads where we will have police and volunteers to keep you safe. There are also several porta potties along the way, which is always nice- especially on the longer distances.

If you have never been on the Pumpkinvine Path, it is a local gem! We are so lucky to have access to this fabulous path in our area! We welcome back all of our past participants!

Getting to the Start Line. Lincoln Avenue is under Construction now, impassable, so you will be rerouted via Wilden-> Steury Road or from the East. It's not a big deal, but good to know in advance. Everyone will need to park and walk a bit , so just allow about 15 minutes for that.

Awards All participants get a finisher medal, Overall Top Three MF and Age group awards in the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. New this year, we will have Overal awards for the Grand Masters in each distance. The Mile is not timed, but you will get a finisher medal.

Costume awards in 8 categories. We encourage everyone to dress up - and participate in the costume contest!

Sign up for the costume awards when you arrive at Abshire (to make sure we get a photo and you won't be missed) and when you get back from your run, you can see if you won! We usually do a Monster Mash parade just so everyone can see all the costumes! Makes it fun!

Shirts are optional and and additional cost of $16
If you have too many shirts, just skip it!
We do order extra shirts, but you need to sign up by October 10 to guarantee your size and availability.
We will also have vintage performance shirts for sale onsite for $5.00, so bring a few bucks if you are interested.
For those wanting more time to complete the half marathon distance, we are offering "Dawn Patrol" which will begin at 8:00 am. You just need to indicate that during signup or at the latest when you check in so our timer is prepared. All Dawn Patrol participants will all start together at 8:00 am. You must be checked in by 7:45 am on race day in order to start early. Sunrise is at 8:08 am. NOTE: You must begin at 8:00 am if you sign up. (Can't just show up at 8:15 am and start, etc etc. This is a manual start. Again, this is intended to encourage folks who might need or want extra time to finish.

The awards ceremony times will not change.
