The Hawaii Kai Mile Presented by Hawaii Running Lab returns on October 25, 2026, for its fifth year, promising an exhilarating mile run along the scenic shores of Oahu. The race begins at the intersection of Hawaii Kai Drive and Lunalilo Home Road before winding through picturesque neighborhoods and finishing in front of Kaiser High School. This event is not just a race but also a celebration of community spirit, featuring age group awards for kids every three years as well as adult categories with top-three finishers receiving accolades. For those looking to extend the fun beyond individual competition, there's an exciting team challenge where groups can vie for recognition and share in the excitement. The team competition is designed for schools, churches, clubs, families, or any organization that wishes to participate collectively. The more runners a team registers, the larger their prize pool contribution becomes. With $1 from each registration going towards the prize fund, it's possible for teams with significant participation to walk away with substantial rewards. Whether you're running solo or as part of a group, this event offers something special. Enjoy post-race snacks and commemorate your achievement with a finisher medal. Special discounts are available for children under 17 years old and active duty US military personnel, making it an accessible opportunity for all to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. Linking your registration to Strava allows you to share your progress leading up to race day and connect with fellow participants who might be part of your team or simply running alongside you. Join us in Hawaii Kai for a memorable mile run that combines fitness, fun, and community engagement.
