Classified as a "Sky Extra" race, this ultra is officially the second most extreme sky and mountain running event in England, demanding superb mountain skills and a strong head for heights. The demanding 57km course packs a serious punch with 3,700m of ascent, pushing endurance limits across exposed rock, scree, and challenging fell terrain. Runners will face a spectacular, non-negotiable traverse of five iconic ridge lines, including the awesome Swirral and Striding Edges, Cofa Pike, and the climb to High Street. Setting off at 6:30 AM from Patterdale, competitors have 14.5 hours to complete this "tour de force" of the Central and Eastern Fells.
