About the Event

Since its inception in 2010, the Mountain Bike Marathon through the Italian Dolomites has earned a reputation as one of the most challenging races on earth. Nestled within the UNESCO World Heritage site, this grueling course takes riders over four iconic passes that wind their way across some of Europe's highest peaks.
Competitors face relentless climbs and steep descents along rugged trails that traverse alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers and dense pine forests. The terrain is a mix of technical singletrack and gravel roads, pushing cyclists to the limit as they navigate tight switchbacks and loose rock sections. Each pass presents unique challenges, from narrow paths clinging to sheer cliffs to wide-open stretches offering breathtaking panoramic views.
The race not only tests physical endurance but also mental fortitude. Cyclists must conserve energy for the long haul while maintaining focus on every technical detail of the trail ahead. As riders crest each summit and look out over the vast expanse below, they are rewarded with stunning vistas that make the effort worthwhile.
This event is more than a race; it's an opportunity to prove oneself against nature’s toughest obstacles in one of the most beautiful settings on earth. By completing this marathon, participants earn recognition as true heroes among mountain bike enthusiasts worldwide.
Join us for an unforgettable journey through the heartland of the Dolomites and experience what makes this event a must-do challenge for serious cyclists everywhere.
