About the Event

Join us for the Herperduincross, an exciting part of A.V. Oss '78's cross-country competition series set to take place on December 13, 2026, in Herpen.
The A.V. Oss '78 Crosscompetitie spans a circuit featuring six races across unsealed tracks around the Oss area. For young runners aged up to 19 years old, there are three distances available: 600 meters for younger participants, 1200 meters for those in intermediate categories, and 1800 meters for older juniors.
Both U-20 competitors and seniors have the option of choosing between a shorter race distance of approximately five kilometers or a longer one stretching around ten kilometers. The exact distances are detailed on A.V. Oss '78's website flyer.
The starting times are set at 10:00 AM for both the short and long cross races, while youth runners will begin their runs at 11:10 AM.
Registration fees vary depending on age categories; it costs €3 for young participants and €7 for those in U-20 or senior divisions. If you register on-site without a pre-registration link, an additional fee of €1 is added to your entry cost.
Competitors can participate individually but will be eligible for final standings if they compete in at least four cross-country events within their respective categories during the series.
Online registration closes on December 13, 2026. Parents and guardians are encouraged to visit Atletiek Unie's website as well as A.V. Oss '78’s site for important updates regarding young participants' eligibility and event details.
The Herperduincross offers runners a unique challenge through varied terrain in the scenic surroundings of Herpen, providing an exciting day out for athletes and spectators alike.
We look forward to seeing you at the start line on December 13th! Please note that once registered, fees are non-refundable regardless of absence or withdrawal from the event.
