High Valley Half

The High Valley Half is an exhilarating half marathon that winds through the picturesque landscapes of Eastern Oregon from Cove to Union. This point-to-point course begins at Dollar's Corner and takes runners westward along scenic High Valley Road, offering stunning views of rolling hills and open countryside.
As participants tackle nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain throughout the race, they'll experience breathtaking climbs followed by rewarding descents that showcase the unique terrain. The majority of the route is on gravel roads, providing a challenging yet picturesque journey through rural settings.
Race day starts early with packet pickup from 6:15am at Dollar's Corner before the official start time of 7am. Runners should be prepared for limited restroom facilities at the beginning and must arrange their own transportation back to Cove after crossing the finish line in Union.
Aid stations are strategically placed along the course, offering water and fuel at miles 4, 7, and 11 to keep runners hydrated and energized throughout the race. Participants should also be mindful of private property rights as they traverse through this rural area.
Registration for a High Valley Half t-shirt is available until June 5th with an additional $5 fee for race day sign-ups without guaranteed shirt or medal inclusion. Online registration closes at midnight on the night before the event, but runners can still register in person using cash, check, or Venmo.
