About the Event

The Hippo'Run de Balaruc returns to the picturesque town of Balaruc on September 19, 2027. This annual event offers runners and walkers an array of distances suitable for all ages and abilities.
For those looking for a quick and spirited race, La speed presents a lively 5K course through the charming streets of Balaruc. Participants can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere as they sprint past local landmarks and enthusiastic spectators.
The more ambitious racers will find plenty to challenge them with two longer options: La vaillante, a scenic 12K route that winds through the picturesque countryside surrounding Balaruc, offering breathtaking views along the way; and La douloureuse, an epic 20.6K trek that tests endurance while showcasing some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region.
Children are also welcome to participate with special courses designed just for them: Les bambins is a fun-filled 900-meter run, perfect for introducing young ones to racing; and La relève, an invigorating 1.5K course that encourages older children to step up their game while enjoying the excitement of competition.
For those preferring a leisurely stroll or walk with family and friends, there is also a non-timed 5K march event. This relaxed affair allows everyone to take in the sights at their own pace, making it an ideal choice for first-time runners or casual participants looking to enjoy the day without pressure.
The Hippo'Run de Balaruc promises not only competitive racing but also a celebration of community and local culture. Participants can look forward to lively entertainment, delicious food stalls, and plenty of opportunities to interact with fellow racers and locals alike.
With its mix of challenging courses for serious athletes and fun runs tailored specifically towards children, the Hippo'Run de Balaruc offers something special for everyone involved in this vibrant event.
