Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary special

Experience the Upper Wreake valley's scenic beauty and challenging terrain at this year’s fifth-mile cross country race, now celebrating its tenth anniversary. The route winds through picturesque fields, over stiles, across brooks, along traditional footpaths, and up gentle hills with panoramic views of Leicestershire.
Race day activities begin early as the village hall in Hoby & District opens at 9:00 am for bag storage, toilet facilities, number collection, and on-the-day entries if spots remain. Canicross enthusiasts will start their journey at 10:45 am followed by trail runners taking off just fifteen minutes later.
Parking is available from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm in the designated area near Thrussington Road, Hoby, providing ample space for participants and spectators.
Competitors can look forward to a variety of prizes including first-place awards for male and female runners across different age categories such as veterans and juniors. Additionally, there are team mixed category accolades and special recognition for those who break the course records set by Tim Hartley (29:08), Juliet Potter (30:34), Dylan Stevens (33:07), Chloe Young (46:35) in trail racing; and Chris Lockhart (34:02), Kristina Pajedaite (34:02) for Canicross. All finishers will receive a commemorative wooden medal marking the 10th anniversary of this beloved event.
Transfers and deferrals are permitted until race day, ensuring flexibility should last-minute changes arise. On-the-day entries remain possible provided places have not been fully allocated online three days before the competition begins.
