Go Hog Wild at the Slice of the Valley Country Ham Festival!

Join us on Saturday, November 7th, for a day of community, fun, and outdoor adventure. Come discover the scenic Jonesville Greenway Trail by participating in our Inaugural 5K or the 1-Mile Hog Wild Fun Run.

Whether you are hitting the trail or cheering from the sidelines, we encourage all runners and spectators to dress up in the festive spirit of the Country Ham Festival! Grab your sneakers, pick out your best costume, and let's go hog wild!

COURSE INFORMATION:

Discover a dynamic outdoor experience along the scenic Yadkin River. This multi-surface trail features a natural blend of gravel, hard-packed dirt, and seasonal grass. As you follow the river’s winding path, you will enjoy a fun variety of gentle terrain changes and rolling ground levels that keep the journey engaging.

ALL 5K PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A FINISHERS MEDAL!

REGISTRATION:

All registrations completed by October 23rd will receive a Hog Wild 5k t-shirt. Any registrations after the deadline, t-shirts will be first come, first serve the day of the race.

Registration on race day is 8 am to 8:50 am. Race begins with an oink at 9 am.

About Jonesville

Jonesville, originally called Allen's Settlement, founded in 1811 under the name of Martinsborough, is the oldest town in Yadkin County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 2,308 at the 2020 census. The town grew by nearly 800 residents in 2001 when it merged with neighboring Arlington. Recognized as the Heart of the Yadkin Valley, Jonesville is a gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Yadkin Valley Heritage/Cultural Corridor and to local wineries in the Swan Creek AVA and the larger Yadkin Valley AVA, as well as offering access to the Yadkin River.
