Holiday Scavenger Hunt Fun Run

Frederick County Parks and Recreation is once again partnering with Runners' Retreat to bring a fun twist to one of their Thursday evening group runs! The Holiday Scavenger Hunt Fun Run is a great way to celebrate the holiday season while getting some exercise. Participants of all ages will run/walk while searching for holiday-themed items along the way. Teams will have one hour to run around, find and take photos of items then return to Runners’ Retreat. After, we will have a social get together at Vibrissa to announce the winning team who will receive a prize! Drinks and food are on your own.

Details:
    · Teams will consist of up to 2-4 runners/walkers.
    · Each team will receive a list of items with assigned points.
    · Teams must stay together for the entire run. Once you find an item, take a photo and be sure to include your team members in the photo.
       Some items have BONUS points, so be sure to try to score extra! 
    · Make sure at least one person on the team will be running with a running watch and a phone (with space for photos!).
    · Start your watch as soon as you leave the store and don't hit stop until you return! Be sure to let the event leaders know your team's final distance.

We encourage each participant to don reflective clothing and equip yourselves with festive lights. Whether it's twinkling fairy lights, glowing necklaces, or jingle bell bracelets – the more, the merrier! Not only will you stand out in the crowd, but you'll also add a magical glow to our holiday celebration.

Reflective clothing acts like a festive cloak of invisibility to passing vehicles, making you easily spotted. Whether it's a reflective headband, shoelaces, or a stylish reflective jacket, let your festive attire dazzle and ensure you're seen by all. Let's all shine bright and stay visible as we dash through the holiday wonderland.
