Hope College Donut Run 5K 2026

The annual Campus Carnival Dash returns on October 18th, traversing the picturesque grounds of Grandville University in West Michigan. This beloved community run kicks off at the historic Alumni Field with runners embarking on an engaging course that highlights the vibrant beauty of Grandville’s campus and surrounding areas.
The race route weaves through a mix of challenging yet scenic paths, making it suitable for participants of all abilities. Along the way, runners will encounter several aid stations where they can refuel with refreshing donut holes—a delightful treat to keep energy levels high throughout the journey. The course begins and ends at Alumni Field (301 University Drive), offering participants a variety of terrains with slight inclines for a steady pace. On race day, expect temperatures ranging from 9°C to 16°C, accompanied by average wind speeds of around 15 km/h and humidity levels hovering between 72% and 80%. These conditions may add a bit of challenge but remain generally manageable.
Campus Carnival Dash caters to runners of all ages with multiple distance options:
- A free .5K Fun Run is available for children aged 3 to 9.
- The main event includes both student and community 5K races, with registration fees set at $28 for students and $32 for the general public.
Race day begins promptly at 10:00 am. Participants can register online or on-site from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Alumni Field. On October 17th, bib pickup is available in the Student Union Building (SUB) and at the University Recreation Center located at 250 West Avenue.
First-timers should ensure they have all necessary items such as proper running attire, water bottles, and any personal medications before arriving. The event provides chip timing for accurate results and includes a long-sleeved t-shirt in registration fees.
