Running through Arizona's breathtaking landscapes, the Underground Runner series offers an unforgettable experience for endurance athletes. Participants can choose from three distances: 50 miles, 55 kilometers, and a half marathon, each providing unique challenges and scenic beauty. The 50-mile race takes runners on a journey across desert sand and slickrock terrain to reach Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, two of the most photographed landmarks in the country. The route then transitions into smooth single-track trails around Page's plateau before finishing with stunning views of Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam. The 55K course features an awe-inspiring journey to Horseshoe Bend, navigating challenging desert landscapes en route. Runners will enjoy a final loop around the city’s plateau on fast and runnable terrain, offering panoramic vistas of Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam as they near the finish line. For those seeking a more manageable distance, the half marathon offers an exhilarating ascent and circumnavigation of Page's plateau with smooth single-track trails that wind through scenic landscapes. The route provides breathtaking views of Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam throughout its entirety. Race weekend kicks off on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Page Sports Complex (477 Haul Rd, Page, AZ 86040) with expo hours from 5 pm to 7 pm. A cultural presentation by Red Heritage begins at 5 pm and bag drop services are available until 8 pm. On race day, Saturday, October 17, 2026, packet pickup will be held between 4:30 am and 30 minutes before each event start time. The half marathon starts promptly at 7:30 am MST followed by the 55K at 7:00 am and the 50-mile race beginning at 5:45 am MST. All participants must park at the Page Sports Complex, with a designated drop-off area for runners near the start line. Spectator parking is also available at this location.
