HOT-TO-GO (5 or 10 miles)

The event kicks off at Hospital Services Cricket Club with a relaxed 10am start, offering runners two distances to choose from: a scenic 5-mile route or an extended 10-mile adventure through the lush forest.
Participants can expect a well-maintained trail that is mostly hardstanding and suitable for all types of footwear. The course winds its way through Hurn Forest, allowing you to take in the stunning natural beauty while enjoying the laid-back vibe of this unique event. With a Lazy Sunday feel, it's an ideal morning out with friends or fellow running enthusiasts.
The race day will be filled with pop music and fun, encouraging runners to dress up in their favorite retro gear—think leg warmers, pom-poms, and tutus. The playlist promises to keep the energy high throughout your run, making this more than just a fitness challenge but an experience that combines exercise and entertainment.
A portion of entry fees will go towards supporting Forestry England's efforts in maintaining forest trails and green spaces across the country. Additionally, donations collected on-site will assist Hospital Services Cricket Club with fundraising for essential medical equipment like defibrillators.
Runners can enjoy a Run DMC (aid) station at both the start/finish line where they'll find an array of snacks and drinks, including refreshing fizzy pop. The event is cupless to minimize waste, so bring your own reusable containers for beverages. Bag drop facilities are available inside the cricket club along with access to restrooms.
Registration opens at 9:15 am on race day, allowing ample time to collect your number before heading out onto the course. The race route features a loop that is approximately 2.5 miles long and offers breathtaking views of Hurn Forest's diverse terrain. For those completing two laps for the longer distance option, you'll have until 1 pm (3 hours) to finish.
This event is licensed by the TRA and will adhere strictly to UK Athletics rules.
