Join us at St. Davids High School for an exhilarating morning of running, fun, and camaraderie! This unique race is exclusively open to H+P members or their friends, ensuring a vibrant community atmosphere. The day kicks off bright and early with chip and kit pick-up from 7:00 AM onwards. Races begin promptly at 7:30 AM with the first of three heats of the 5000 meters—sub-19 runners will compete in heat one, followed by those aiming for times between 19 to 23 minutes in heat two and over 23 minutes in heat three. Next up is The Mile at 8:50 AM. Participants can choose from a fast or slow wave based on their pace preferences. At 9:15 AM, get ready for the 400-meter backwards race—a thrilling challenge that promises to test your agility and balance! For those seeking a more competitive experience, mark your calendars for the Elimination Mile Madness at approximately 9:30 AM. The event will start with fun heats followed by competitive women's and men's heats. Kids of all ages are welcome! Big kids aged 12 and under can participate in an 800-meter race (timed), while medium-sized children between the ages of 6 to 9 take part in a slower-paced 800 meters. Smaller children, from 2 years old up to 9, will enjoy the 400-meter, 100-meter, and 50-meter races—parents are encouraged to join their younger kids for these non-timed events. All participants receive race bibs and participant ribbons, making this a memorable experience. Medals await top male and female finishers in the 800 meters, though awards by age group might not be possible due to limited numbers of young runners. Supporting our event are local favorites: MY NEXT KW HOME GROUP providing delicious food, RUNNERS' CHOICE WATERLOO ensuring refreshing hydration, and RUN WATERLOO handling timing and other logistics. Race start time is 7:00 AM with pick-up available from the same hour. Mark your calendars for an unforgettable morning of running in a supportive community setting!
