Experience the 5th annual HW6, a unique fundraiser benefiting Hueston Woods Trail Crew. Set amidst the picturesque trails of Hueston Woods State Park, this race offers an exhilarating journey through nature's beauty and challenges. Race Day begins early with number plate pick-up starting at 7:30 am, followed by a mandatory pre-race meeting at 8:30 am to ensure all participants are well-prepared. The start line is located at the Hueston Woods Mountain Bike Trailhead, where you'll embark on an approximately 8.7-mile course that keeps you close to the park's north side. Your adventure begins with a climb up from the trailhead and across the service road before completing the North Loop and its extension. While race day amenities are minimal—no food or water will be provided onsite—a drinking water spigot is available for your hydration needs. After crossing the finish line, stay and enjoy community building activities that celebrate the spirit of racing together. For those seeking more comfortable accommodations, Hueston Woods State Park offers a lodge and free camping facilities, complete with access to a pool and lake beach.
