About the Event

Since 2013, The Great Huey P. Long Bridge Run has celebrated the majestic views provided by a historic bridge. The Huey P. Long Bridge was established in 1935 and revised in 2013 with a well-received widening project.

Each year, the bridge is closed to vehicle traffic on a Saturday morning allowing runners to enjoy a professional and safe race experience while they #GeauxOverIt. It's a challenge worth celebrating as runners enjoy live music, great Louisiana food and cold Abita beer after crossing the finish line.

Long Bridge over the Mississippi River. The town is located on the south side of the river. It is part of the New Orleans–Metairie–Kenner metropolitan statistical area.
