Hybrid Challenge by the Lake 2026 invites runners and fitness enthusiasts to Aabybro for an extraordinary day of physical challenge, community spirit, and high intensity. This unique event is part of Stine Rex's world record attempt over ten days, aiming to raise funds for Gestus Nord in support of vulnerable children and youth. Scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the Hybrid Challenge by the Lake combines running with functional strength exercises into a seamless test of endurance, strength, and determination. Participants will start their journey from DGI tent near Aabybro's lakefront area. The event offers both individual and team categories for men, women, and mixed pairs. Solo runners kick off at 8:00 AM in intervals every ten minutes to ensure smooth progression throughout the day. Women’s singles begin promptly at 10:00 AM followed by male teams starting from noon and female teams at 2 PM. Mixed pair competitions commence at 4 PM, all adhering to a staggered start system. Participants can expect an immersive experience with continuous support along the route as controllers evaluate performance standards throughout. The event promises a strong sense of camaraderie among competitors while raising funds for a worthy cause. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division based on participation numbers, and all proceeds go directly towards Gestus Nord’s initiatives. In addition to recognition, runners receive unique patches commemorating their involvement as well as official start numbers valid throughout Stine Rex's challenge period. To secure a spot at this exclusive event, early registration is highly recommended given limited spaces available after August 1st with an additional fee for late entries. Participants are encouraged but not required to familiarize themselves with the exercises beforehand for optimal performance evaluation during the competition. While facilities like changing rooms and showers won't be provided on-site, swimmers can enjoy a refreshing dip in the lake afterward if desired. Join Hybrid Challenge by the Lake 2026 today and contribute towards making Stine Rex's world record attempt both memorable and impactful. Participants are advised to register early as spots fill up quickly following the initial registration period.
