About the Event
On October 4, 2026, the charming town of Ostrów Mazowiecki will host the annual Termin i miejsce race series. This festive day offers runners and Nordic walkers alike an opportunity to explore the scenic beauty of the area while participating in a variety of events. The event kicks off with registration at 9:00 AM at the Muzeum – Dom Rodziny Pileckich, located on Warszawskiej Street 4. By 9:50 AM, unclaimed race packets for both the Witold and Maria Pilecki Run and Nordic Walking will be released. A warm-up session begins promptly at 10:15 AM to prepare participants for their respective races. At 10:30 AM, runners take off on a challenging 5-kilometer course that winds through Ostrów Mazowiecki's picturesque landscapes. Meanwhile, around the same time, Nordic walkers embark on an approximately 2-kilometer route. For those participating in the Bieg Bajki (Fairy Tale Run), which is designed for young athletes aged from 0 to 15 years old, a series of age-specific races will commence at various times throughout the morning. The youngest participants, ages 0-7, run a short yet fun 300-meter dash starting at 11:20 AM in Jordanowskiego Park. Slightly older children aged 8 to 11 face a more challenging 600 meters course split into separate races for girls and boys. For the slightly older age group of 12 to 15, distances increase to 900 meters with again separate categories for each gender. All Bieg Bajki events take place in Jordanowskiego Park. As the day progresses, participants can enjoy the camaraderie among fellow runners and walkers while finishing their races by noon. The event concludes around 12:20 PM when results are announced at Muzeum – Dom Rodziny Pileckich, followed by a brief celebration for all attendees. This family-friendly race series not only offers competitive racing but also an engaging atmosphere with activities suitable for children of various ages, making it perfect for families looking to spend time outdoors in the heart of Ostrów Mazowiecki.
