Join us for the third edition of the IIT Hyderabad Half Marathon, set to take place on November 22, 2026. Organized by the IIT Hyderabad Runners Club, this annual running festival celebrates fitness, community spirit, and resilience within the vibrant campus environment. The event offers a variety of race categories for runners at all levels—whether you're an experienced marathoner or just starting out with your first organized run. The flagship Half Marathon (21.1 km) starts from the Sports and Cultural Complex (SNCC), leading participants through scenic roads, academic areas, and hostel zones within IIT Hyderabad’s sprawling campus. Participants will enjoy a predominantly flat course that winds around key landmarks such as the peripheral road, Main Gate, Technology Boulevard, and more. The route is designed to showcase the diverse architecture and lush green spaces of this prestigious institution. Runners complete two rounds of the designated loop before finishing back at SNCC, providing ample opportunities to soak in the campus atmosphere. For those seeking a shorter but equally engaging challenge, there's also the 10 KM Run that follows sections of the Half Marathon route, offering runners an ideal distance to test their speed and endurance. The scenic 5 KM Timed Run is another option for beginners looking to measure performance or set new personal goals. The event includes a relaxed category—the 5 KM Fun Run, perfect for families and friends who want to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the campus without any timing pressure. This non-timed run allows participants to take in the sights at their own pace, making it an excellent choice for those looking for a casual yet memorable experience. Race day will feature official hydration stations along all routes, ensuring runners stay hydrated throughout the event. Medical support and detailed route maps are also provided to ensure everyone's safety and comfort during the race. Limited on-campus accommodation is available at IIT Hyderabad’s Guest House for outstation participants, subject to availability. Requests should be submitted well in advance through the designated form, as allotment follows a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about registration details, reporting time, bib collection procedures, parking arrangements, and other event logistics, please refer to updates from the IIT Hyderabad Runners Club leading up to race day. Join us on November 22, 2026, for a unique blend of athletic challenge and campus exploration at the IIT Hyderabad Half Marathon.
