44th Indian Queens Half Marathon Join us for the 44th edition of the renowned Indian Queens Half Marathon, scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026. The race will commence at a brisk start time of 10:30 AM and is part of the prestigious Cornish Grand Prix series. Entry Information - Affiliated Runners: £23 - Unaffiliated Runners: £25 Entries close on July 1st, so make sure to register early. Shirts will be ordered by mid-July, ensuring you receive your preferred size if you enter before the deadline. Race Details The event is open to all runners and welcomes both male and female participants in various age categories. The race begins at a red phone box on Moorland Road and follows an exhilarating route through picturesque Cornish landscapes. With 140 meters of elevation gain, this half marathon offers a challenging yet rewarding experience. Route Highlights - Start near the iconic red phone box. - Traverse scenic trails and byways around Ruthvoes. - Navigate Toads Hole for water stations and stunning views. - Conquer rolling hills leading to Rosedown Kennels before looping back through Tregoss village. - Enjoy a final stretch along a traffic-free path as you approach Indian Queens. The course is open to other trail users, so be prepared for potential encounters with cows, ponies, adders, and ticks. The terrain can get muddy in parts, but road shoes are sufficient. Race Day Logistics Registration will take place from 8:30 AM until the start time at the Youth Club building on St Francis Road. Participants must collect their race numbers early to complete medical details. Baggage facilities, toilets, and mobile catering services will be available throughout the day. Chip timing is used for results and awards; however, runners are advised not to cover their ankle chips with socks during the event. Awards Race medals and technical shirts await all finishers. Age group winners receive special recognition in categories from U35 to 80+. Local male and female participants also have a chance at additional prizes. Presentation of awards will occur by 12:30 PM, allowing ample time for runners to celebrate their achievements post-race.
